Road trip to Canada

This week we had a long weekend so three of us chose to drive to Niagara Falls and Toronto, Canada. We rented a car and booked a hotel close to Niagara Falls and hit the road. It’s about 5 to 7 hour drive from New Paltz, but it doesn’t feel like it driving on American roads. The roads in America are wider than the roads in Europe and with little help of music and nice conversations the time just flew away. On our whey to Canada we stopped in Albany and got familiar with the town, took some pictures, and ate dinner before we continued. We arrived to Niagara Falls, NY at night so we got to experience the waterfalls from the American side at night before we crossed the boarders to Canada.

Niagara Falls is a place that can’t be explained, it’s a place that must be experienced. There is the never ending falls and the town that looks like a movie set. We bought a “Niagara Falls experience package” where we could explore every part of the falls. My favorite thing we did was Maid of the Mist, the boat that goes in the middle of the falls, water splashing everywhere it was a good thing that we put on plastic ponchos. The other activities we also experience was, walking beside the falls, see the falls from behind, and a 4D movie.

The second we drove to Toronto, it’s about 1 hour and 20 minutes from Niagara Falls, a big city on the seaside. We mostly walked around and went up to the SN Tower.

On the drive back to New Paltz after a satisfying weekend in Canada, we wanted to visit some big cities in New York so we visited Buffalo and had some Buffalo wings and after that we stopped Rochester and looked around before we drove back home.
